TEAM MADEWELL TRIES IT: AN EXPERIMENT IN BLACK DENIM

Everyone has their own personal style preferences, of course. But sometimes our self-imposed rules are meant to be broken. Take Caleigh, a merch master on Team Madewell and light-wash denim devotee. She’d always been hesitant to wear darker denim hues. “I struggle with styling black denim. It ends up feeling a little ‘serious’ for my taste,” Caleigh told us. Well, our styling experts are always down for a challenge—so they put together three outfits that they were convinced would shake up Caleigh’s denim tendencies, without losing her fun, carefree sensibility.
